About this event
In a world where news, social issues and global crises are constantly at our fingertips, staying informed can sometimes feel like a responsibility, and even an expectation. This workshop explores the emotional load of constant exposure to negative news and social media, the social pressure to always be aware of what is happening in the world and how burnout affects our ability to be effective allies. Participants will also examine how bias, algorithms, media representation and misinformation shape the information they encounter and influence which issues receive attention.
Through dialogue and interactive activities, participants will consider how to stay informed and engaged with social issues while setting healthy boundaries and practicing sustainable allyship.
