About this event
Note: The date for this workshop has been updated. Exploring “Wellness Disputes” As direct-to-consumer health platforms like Function Health and Viome promise to make us “the boss of our own biology,” they’re also giving rise to a new category of legal conflict: “wellness disputes.” What happens when rapidly evolving health and wellness technologies outpace laws and regulations?
How do researchers navigate the overlapping roles of courts, government agencies, contracts, and consumer protections? In this interactive workshop, participants will explore this emerging area of law while building practical legal research skills that can be applied across disciplines, including how to find, interpret, and connect legal and regulatory sources. No legal background is required.
