ArtRage Gallery

The Hawley-Green Neighborhood of Syracuse is home to ArtRage Gallery, which can be found at 505 Hawley Avenue. Everyone has the right to art, and this belief drives the gallery's efforts to break down boundaries in the art world.

Exhibitions at the gallery inspire resistance and promote social awareness, supporting social justice and challenging preconceptions to encourage cultural change. By fostering an environment where people can see themselves in the work and then in one another, the community comes together to experience something meaningful.

Dik Cool and Rose Viviano founded ArtRage Gallery, continuing a long tradition of progressive social activism in Central New York. The gallery partners with community organizations on exhibitions and related programming, highlighting the work of local activists and organizations.

Accessibility is a priority, with the gallery being handicapped accessible and reachable by Centro Bus or street parking. Free off-street parking is available at the Syracuse Cultural Workers lots, and the gallery also features a gift shop called PosterWorks, stocking posters, books, shirts, and local artisans' handcrafted jewelry and crafts.

Staff and volunteers are available to introduce groups to exhibitions with advanced scheduling, and tours are free of charge. Throughout the year, the gallery hosts various events, including workshops, lectures, and theatrical productions, making it a vibrant part of the community.
